Ways to Support Green Star
Our services happen only by the generous support of our sponsoring organizations and individuals like you who understand the value of waste reduction and recycling. Green Star is dedicated to furthering these values by continuing to assist and recognize businesses, organizations, schools, and events that reduce waste and improve our air quality.
By making an individual or corporate contribution to Green Star, you support our efforts to:
´ Offer Free Events Recycling through our Green Events program, which has collected more than 38,500 pounds of recyclables from 40 local events, such as the Special Olympics and Saturday Market, in its first year.
´Provide free public workshops and educational materials on such topics as recycling in the workplace, energy efficiency, and alternative fuel vehicles,
´Provide free site assessments to all interested enrollees to help them identify cost-saving and waste-reducing opportunities within their workplace,
´Keep Alaska beautiful by helping more than 350 local businesses, organizations, schools, reduce waste in the Anchorage area alone,
´Promote clean, healthy air with the Air Quality Award.
To show our appreciation, all sponsor and individual donors receive a complimentary Green Star pin and subscription to E-News, our monthly electronic newsletter.
All donations made to Green Star are tax-deductible. Green Star is a 501(c)(3) non-profit oganization (EIN 92-0159506).
