Green Star’s Brown Bag topic this month is “Wind Power for Businesses and the Community.” The presentation will be held on Wednesday, May 21st at the BP Energy Center, from 11:45am – 1pm. Steve Gilbert of Chugach Electric will be leading the presentation and discussion on Chugach Electric’s exploration of the use of wind to supply a portion of the power used by our community.

There is a great deal of interest in renewable energy in the United States, as well as in the Alaska. Chugach Electric will present a report on the status of its wind power investigation in the Anchorage area, and some unique ways of bringing renewable power to customers who want to use green energy.
