TWO ANCHORAGE BUSINESSES RECEIVE GREEN STAR AWARD

Alaska Conservation Foundation and Schlumberger Oilfield Services were presented with the Green Star Award on Monday, December 10, 200l, at the Chamber “Make it Monday” Forum. Deborah Williams, Exectutive Director of ACF and Donna Garbutt, General Manager of Schlumberger, accepted the awards. Alan Schuyler, past Green Star Board President, presented the Awards. Green Star is an Anchorage-based nonprofit organization dedicated to rewarding waste reduction, pollution prevention, and energy conservation efforts. Companies must comply by at least twelve of the eighteen Green Star Standards to receive the Award.
