Alaska Materials Exchange
The Alaska Materials Exchange (AME) is an interactive, on-line resource for businesses, allowing them to list unwanted, but still usable, commercial and industrial items. Businesses also can search the site for items they are seeking.

Becoming a Green Star: A Waste Reduction Guide for Anchorage Businesses
This comprehensive guide provides information about recycling, waste prevention, purchasing, toxics reduction, air quality, and water quality. Also included is a chapter about education, training, and outreach. The guide provides numerous local resources, tips, and case studies. Learn about all the materials that are recyclable in Anchorage and where to take them. View each chapter individually in PDF or HTML format.

Green Star Tip Sheets
This series of tip sheets was developed in conjunction with the Green Star Standards. Various Standards reference individual tip sheets, which provide detailed information on a wide variety of topics.  Additional tip sheets have been added that address specific industry sectors such as hospitality and health care.

Green Star E-News
E-News is a monthly electronic newsletter disseminated to Green Star members and other interested people via email. Each month, E-News includes information about waste reduction, recycling, air quality, energy efficiency and other related topics. E-News recognizes shining stars, which may include new members, awardees, and sponsors.

Green Star Tool Kit
The Tool Kit offers free and "for sale" items including recycling signs and stickers, Idle-Free Zone signs, award stickers, and other useful materials. Many are downloadable.

Recycling Resources
The most commonly asked questions answered by Green Star staff pertain to recycling. This recycling page is designed to answer the common questions about recycling, including what items are recyclable in Anchorage, where are they accepted etc.

Air Quality Resources
Air quality is an issue that affects all of us. This page offers tips for improving Anchorage's air quality, decribes Green Star's current air quality programs and campaigns and links to other air quality resources.

Energy Efficiency Resources
Energy Efficiency can help businesses save substantial amounts of money in the workplace. This page offers ideas, tips, and resources on how to reduce your electricity bill.

Electronics Recycling Resources
Electronics, including computers, monitors, televisions, phones, and other items, can be recycled in Anchorage. This page provides electronics-recycling information for businesses, households, and nonprofits, including events, pricing, reuse opportunities and regulatory and technical information related to electronics.

Green Cleaning Matrix
This spreadsheet provides information about certified green cleaning products as well as paper products and janitorial services.  The spreadsheet includes local distributors and retailers and lists the certifications each product has earned.

Green Star Education Series
Green Star's Education Series is composed of workshops and trainings on a variety of topics. The events include facility tours, panel discussions, and informational talks on a variety of topics. Past topics include wind power, environmentally preferable purchasing, and energy-efficient lighting, as well as tours of the landfill and wastewater treatment facility. Look for these events on the calendar every other month.
