Live music, food, kids activities, informative workshops, interesting speakers and demonstrations to raise awareness of critical environmental issues. Ride your bike or take People Mover to Earth Day this year. This event is organized by Alaska Pacific University, Alaska Center for the Environment, Alaska Conservation Alliance, Alaska Oceans Program, Sierra Club and the Recycling Program at University of Alaska Anchorage. April 21 Green Star Green Bag - Electronics Recycling ~ BP Energy Center, 11:45am - 1pm. Learn the details about how to participate in this year's Electronics Recycling Event -- who can participate, how to prepare materials etc. Green Star also will provide some statistics and lessons learned from last year's event and share information about the Municipality of Anchorage's business electronics recycling program at the Anchorage Regional Landfill and the electronics collection program at the Mat-Su Borourgh's Central Landfill.
